Stoats

Hello people today we had to read pages 17 to 22 of Uncle Don Knows Heaps Of Wacky Stuff. We then had to choose a animal from the 6 pages that we had to read so we could make a DLO about whatever we choose. I chose stoats because they are preditors and they are small and cute and they look like weasels. I tried to put the sound that stoats sound like on my canva poster but I couldnt so there is a video down there of what Stoats sound like. Reflection: 

It was pretty easy to read the book and then write about Stoats. I also learnt alot about birds and extinct  native animals to. Nz I thaut it would be hard since I just got out of the holidays but it wasnt that hard. I could do in like 1 hour and to me thats fast i now really like using canva to do my DLOs now last year I didnt even know what it was the only reason i started using it is because we were suppose to use something other than google docs and google slides so I just chose canva. That is pretty all for my reflection so bye.

Making hokey pokey

 Aim: 

 I want to find out how to make Hokey Pokey.

Method: 

equipment 

• Pot 
• 2 table spoon Golden syrup 
• 5 table spoon of sugar 
• 1 table spoon of baking powder (sodium Bicarbonate Hydrogeen Carbonate) 
• wooden spoon for mixing 
• Stove/bunsen burner 
• baking paper  

Instructions: 

1. Get your equipment ready 
2. Set up your stove/bunsen burner. (yellow safety flame)
3. Put your pot on the tripod and use the bluse flame. 
4. Add the sugar and golden syrup to the pot.  
5. Mix it with the wooden spoon. 
6. Stop mixing and turn off the bunsen/stove when the sugar boiles.
7. Add the baking soda and mix.                                  
8. Pour the mixure onto the baking powder 
9. let it cool

Elvers

Hello people today we had to do a DLO on something from the book Uncle Don knows Heaps of Wacky Stuff. It is a book about sea creatures and stuff. I chose to do it on elvers because I knew alot about them kinda I knew they were transparent atleast. But enough about this the link should be down below. 

Reflection: 

I learnt that Elvers is just a diffrent name for baby Eels and that they have another name glass Eels. They also swim out from somewhere near Tonga. They can get stuck when they try to get inland and They can get stuck in like a dam or something. Covering the water when I was doing the DLO I was struggling at first to find pictures. But then I was able to find pictures and find facts on the book and a little google. I didnt hate it but I thaut it was ok because it was really easy for me.

Mental Health

Today in wananga we were doing are metal health stuff and we had to choose between six things i chose my favorite place to go to and we had to describe why we want to go there and stuff i chose mount fuji as my favorite place to go to and then I got a picture of mount fuji and made the google draw my work is down there i will put a link to it if you want a better look but if you cant be bothered the picture is just down there

what i enjoy about drama

Hello people today I am showing you what I liked about drama. 

What I like about comedy what comedy movies have you seen:

i enjoy comedy because because t makes me laugh and it is really funny i have seen alot of comedy movies my top 3 are epic movie,zombie land double tap,the hitmans wifes body guard and thats all 

What i enjoy about horror movies. 

comedy is another one of my faveourite genres because it gets be scared and pumped up when ever im board or tired i just watch a horror movie my favorite horror movies are the grudge,incideous the last key and old and thats all 

What i enjoy about sci fi. 

i like sci fi because i like futureristic movies and i will never get bored watching one of these out of all my faverite movies genres this one is my faveroute my faveroute sc fi movies are ready player one,avengers endgame,thor ragnarok

Lighting bunsen burner

  1. get the equipment 

2.wear safety glasses 

3.put a heat mat in the middle of the bench

5.turn the collar to close the air hole 

6.light a match slash lighter and hold the flame over the nozzle 

7.turn on the gas 

8.turn the collar to open the ear hole

9.close the air hole to safety mode to turn it off

• Petri dish 
• Cotton tip 
• Marker pen 
• Selotape  

Instructions: 

1. Get our equipment 

2.Divide your plate using a marker 

3. lable the section with what you swab 

4. take a cotton tip and swab a surface 

5. gently swap the surface of the agar jelly 

6. and then put it in your cup thing

7. now test
